Way of the Hero is an out-of-the-box, transformational coaching program of deep adventure that snaps high achievers, executives and leaders out of autopilot, igniting their inner fire, and equipping them with a compass directed towards their innermost dreams.
Led by Layne Gneiting, PhD, Way of the Hero uses a combination of coaching and training over the course of several months that culminates in a multi-day cycling trek. Both the preparation for the journey and the raw space of adventure allows participants to tap into their genius, break out of the shackles of expectation, and begin to fearlessly navigate life on their own terms.




An Out-of-the-Box Approach Lacking a Marketing Strategy

When Layne reached out to Built by LoveⓇ, he was ready to take Way of the Hero to the next level. It had proven successful via word-of-mouth, but now he needed a marketing strategy to gain a wider reach, and the right messaging to engage his audience.

Turning Customers into Heroes with the Marketing RAMPⓇ

The goal was to clearly define Way of the Hero’s target audience and their pain points, and then work on messaging that spoke directly to them, inspiring them with emotion and driving them to take action with logic and social proof.

We did so by utilizing our proprietary process, the Marketing RAMP®. The RAMP is a multi-step, dynamic marketing plan that digs into a company’s ideal customers and brand voice, maps the customer journey, and leverages intelligent automation to engage prospects, drive conversions, and delight customers.

Notable elements that were particularly powerful for the Way of the Hero’s unique challenges, included:

  • Ideal Buyers: We identified 3 distinct audiences that Way of the Hero would target, unearthing their specific pain points and the solutions they might be dreaming of, but haven’t yet found.
  • Crafting the Brand Voice: Here we outlined where Way of the Hero could use messaging to strengthen and bolster their alignment with each audience. We also spelled out what their transformation would look like.
  • Creating the Pitch: We then created an inspirational, yet succinct “pitch” that dug through the fat of what Way of the Hero provides to get into the meat of the message, stating what they can do for their clients no one else can.
  • Mapping the customer journey: Finally, we provided a place to bring all this messaging to life by mapping the customer journey. This included detailing how a brand new lead transforms into a raving fan, in both linear and non-linear terms.
